How the story begins

NarratorTuesday began with the dangerous promise of a simple frontend update. Wolfy watched the container build finish at 9:47 AM. The pipeline was green, the coffee was warm, and nothing on his calendar mentioned becoming the face of ten thousand customers.

WolfyClean build, successful push, healthy rollout. I could even eat breakfast while it is still technically breakfast. This is what people mean by work-life balance: a deployment completing before the toast achieves the texture of a roofing tile.

NarratorAt 9:53, his phone started vibrating across the desk. A minute later, the CTO asked why the login page featured somebody in a wolf costume. Wolfy opened the site. The toast became an entirely theoretical concern.

WolfyOh. That is my FurryCon 2025 photo. Heroic stance, tail up, very enthusiastic sign. I made that costume stitch by stitch. I absolutely did not make it the intended centerpiece of our customer login experience. What do I say first?
